Ted Baker looks forward to improving online performance

Archived article dated Wednesday December 12th 2007

Ted Baker's website has gone live with advanced search and merchandising capabilities from Mercado Software.

Martin Newman, Head of eCommerce at Ted Baker explains, “We see our online channel as key to finding new customers and it underpins our growth strategy. Central to this is improving the customer experience, and allowing customers to find what they want quickly and easily does just that. We were already aware of the success that Mercado's searchandising tools have brought to other online retailers. With the ability to quickly and efficiently implement promotions, list best sellers, and recommended related products, it provides search related content, specifically around the interest of the visitor. To have this functionality within our eCommerce platform now will ensure we have our busiest and most successful Christmas ever.” Rich Beattie, Vice President of Mercado Europe, said, “Ted Baker has quickly developed a reputation for high quality, fashionable products and grown into a company with a global presence. Our searchandising software will help them to continue that growth, by improving their current online offering and allowing their customers to enjoy the whole Ted Baker shopping experience.”
