Interflora chooses intelligent in-site search tool to improve shopping experience and increase conversion
Interflora can now continually refine its in-site search and improve the shopping experience for customers, with the implementation of Learning Search from SLI Systems.
The hosted search tool, which continually learns from past site search activity, will allow Interflora to deliver the most relevant results to customers shopping on interflora.co.uk. The improved search and overall experience can help retain customers, increase conversion rates and ultimately deliver higher online revenues for the world's largest and most recognised flower delivery network.
Learning Search also provides detailed metrics around customers' search journeys and shopping habits. This will allow Interflora to use keywords and clicked on items to improve online merchandising and develop more targeted promotions around events like Mother's Day and Christmas.
“The Web is now a critical channel for us as a brand, so making it easier for customers to find what they want and improving their shopping experience is essential - at the heart of this is search,” said Ben Freeborn, head of channel development at Interflora.
“As well as allowing us to achieve this, SLI also gives us a much better understanding of our customers and increased control of the search results, which will allow us to improve conversion rates throughout the website,” Freeborn added.
